Description
Waistbelt, officers’, Dumbartonshire Volunteers, 1871 (c). White buff leather with silver plate sling fittings and sword hook. Silver plate and gilt rectangular waistbelt clasp, with mounted relief design of an elephant on a rayed and faceted St Andrew’s cross, with ‘FORTITUDO ET FIDELITAS’ above all and ‘DUMBARTONSHIRE VOLUNTEERS’ below all.
