Printed cotton handkerchief, 1900 (c). Inscribed, ‘C.I.V’ and bearing the City of London coat of arms, and the portraits of the Commanding Officer, Col W H MacKinnon and the Second in Command of the Infantry Section, Lt Col A G Pawle. The London arms, a crown and sword, two portraits and large initials, CIV, whole design is upon the cross of St George, red on white. Yellow and black rope edge. Associated with the City Imperial Volunteers, Boer War (1899-1902).
