Jug, presented by Captains Blackden and Chadwick, 2nd Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers, 1892. Silver, maker’s mark obliterated, hallmarked London, 1890-1891. Probably presented on promotion when the battalion was based in India. Captain Chadwick subsequently died in Dum Dum, India in 1897. Inverted pear-shaped body, inscribed on front, cylindrical neck with spout; hinged lid with thumb piece; handle with ivory pieces.
