Beaker in a leather carrying case, owned by Maj W G Crole Wyndham, 21st Lancers and reputedly carried by him at the Battle of Omdurman, 1898; Indian European silver, made by Treacher and Company Limited, 1898 (c). Plain, tapers downward, with engraved band of leaves and waves around the rim, leather carrying case has separate lid secure by strap and buckle. Associated with 2nd Sudan War, Battle of Omdurman (1898).
