Description
Manuscript diary written by Miss Helen Elizabeth Rice between 6 Mar 1900 and 10 Apr 1901 to record the events of the Boer War. She was the future sister-in-law of Maj William Edmond Logan Stewart, Welch Regiment, attached to 1st Mounted Infantry. The diary also contains some detail of personal and social interest, as well as transcriptions from participants letters to her.
