Black leather, cover lined with red velvet.
Back and frontal flap faced with blue cloth.
Frontal flap trimmed with 0.75 in gold lace around edges. Within the lace, two gold embroidered sprays, one of oak, the other of laurel. Between the sprays the Royal Coat of Arms embroidered proper. Below the arms a gilt metal gun.
Below all a red velvet scroll traced with gold wire and embroidered in similar wire with the title: SOUTH-EAST-OF-SCOTLAND ARTILLERY.
