Shoulder belt plate, officer, Loyal Lancaster Volunteers, 1797-1801.
Gilt copper and silver. Mounted within a gilt beaded border a silver eight-pointed star upon the centre of which is an oval gilt-beaded circlet. Within the circlet a gilt lion passant gardant upon a vertically hatched ground. Above the lion is a fleur de lys upon a horizontally hatched ground (Arms of the Borough of Lancaster). Above the circlet a gilt monarchial crown. On reverse a hook at upper edge and two studs at lower edge. Buff chamois leather lining.
