Large button, 27th Regiment of Madras Native Infantry, worn by Col M Cholmeley, 1850 (c). Gilt metal, with overlap from the front of the button onto the back. Within a scalloped border, a laurel wreath with a numeral surmounted by a monarchial crown and a curved battle honour below it.
