Regimental medal, 26th (The Cameronians) Regiment of Foot, 1823. Silver, unhallmarked, with loop bar and suspender. Design in relief within a raised rim on both sides. Obverse: The regimental colours of the 26th (The Cameronians) Regiment of Foot draped upon a bible, a thistle appearing at the intersection, surmounted by a crown. The whole flanked to the right by a spray of laurel and to the left by a spray of myrtle. Reverse: Left, a soldier holding a musket receives a medal from a seated female figure, right, behind whom is a crucifix and an anchor and upon whose lap lies an open book. Behind the figures, rows of tents and above, the rays of the sun.
