Description
Specimen coin of Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul Medal 1841-42 struck by the Royal Mint for presentation to members of the Board of Control of the East India Company, 1844. With campaigns: Candahar, Ghuznee, Cabul. Silver gilt, glazed either side and fitted with a silver rim. Associated with Capture of Kandahar (1839), Battle of Ghuznee (1839), Retreat from Kabul (1842), 1st Afghan War (1838-1842).
