Description
Officers’ shoulder belt plate, 30th Regiment of Bengal Native Infantry, 1843-1846. Mounted upon a gilt copper plate, a design of a white metal sixteen-pointed rayed star with square-ended points. At the centre a gilt metal Maltese cross with a double border surmounted by a monarchial crown. Superimposed upon the cross, a white metal laurel wreath enclosing a gilt metal garter. Below the star, a gilt metal scroll. Two hooks and two stud fittings upon the reverse.
