Description
Officers’ pouch belt plate, Royal Montgomery Militia, 1867-1881. White metal. A laurel wreath surmounted by the Prince of Wales’s plumes, coronet and motto and enclosing a frosted ball-tipped Maltese cross. Between the arm of the cross, four lions passant gardant. At the centre of the cross, a circlet. Within the circlet a French horn upon a domed ground. The plate is backed with a flat piece of white metal similar in shape to the plate and has four screw fittings, two with nuts.
