Officers’ pouch belt plate, 1st (Exeter and South Devon) Volunteer Rifles, 1860-1881. Blackened white metal, the lettering burnished to contrast with the background. Repoussé design of an oval garter surmounted by a monarchial crown. Below the garter a scroll. Three loop fittings on the reverse. A brass pin passes horizontally through the two lower loops.
