Proficiency badge, 1st Volunteer Bn Queen’s (Royal West Surrey Regiment), worn by C/Sgt Arthur Taylor, 1896 (c). Upon a padded scarlet cloth ground a laurel wreath in silver wire embroidery enclosing a circlet edged with silver wire. Within the circlet the Paschal Lamb facing dexter embroidered in silver wire upon a scarlet ground, the banner in white silk with a red St George’s Cross upon it.
