Description
Unidentified badge, possibly worn on round forage cap, 44th (East Essex) Regiment of Foot, 1860 (c). Gilt metal. A sphinx facing dexter resting upon a frosted tablet. Reverse bears one loop fitting and remains of another, horizontally placed.
