Cap badge, Indian Supply and Transport Corps, associated with Brig George William Clement Hickie, 1901-1923.
White metal. An eight-pointed rayed star, the topmost point of which is displaced by a monarchial crown. Mounted at the centre, within a laurel wreath, the frosted Garter, bearing the burnished Garter motto, within which are the pierced monogrammed letters ‘STC’ upon a black painted ground. Reverse bears two horizontally placed brass loop fittings and a split-pin.

Brig Hickie was not appointed to the Indian Army until 1928 and there is no evidence in the Army Lists that he served in the Supply and Transport Corps, so it seems unlikely he wore this badge himself.
