One of a set of eleven garlands presented to Sir Claude and Lady Gidney whilst Sir Claude was British representative in Hyderabad State from 1938 to 1944, all made in Hyderabad State, 1940 (c). Textile and metal. Gold bullion and sequins in stylised floral pattern with badge of Hyderabad State embroidered on emerald green satin; some of the flowers have purple velvet petals, some green and others deep red, ties with two strips of narrow gold ribbon; backed with magenta silk.
