Description

Pair of silver cufflinks and three studs, worn by Claude Grey Buchanan, 35th Sikhs, 1910 (c). Silver, in velvet-lined leather box. Cuff links are representations of the badge of the Regiment, a quoit, superscribed ‘XXXV/ SIKHS’; two of these rings are linked by a ‘figure of light’ silver wire to form the link. The centre of the ring is depressed and has been gilded. The studs are smaller versions of the ring, one collar stud and two shirt studs. No hallmarks (but tests with nitrate prove them silver).
