Identity bracelet worn by Maj Mervyn Charles Holmes, Prince of Wales’s (North Staffordshire Regiment), 1914 (c). Possibly silver; small, rectangular plate with inscription, with chain attached each side, broken at first link of right hand side; no clasp apparent. Inscribed: ‘M.C./ HOLMES/ 2394’ Marked on verso of plate: ‘HMS’, ‘975’, CMV’ ‘-1’ Associated with World War One (1914-1918).
