Description
Three aquatint vignettes on one plate by J Hill after W H Pyne, 1802. Vignette 1 shows a field piece retreating with two horses at full gallop; vignette 2 shows a field piece with a group of soldiers halting; vignette 3 shows soldiers dragging a field piece. No 7 in the series ‘Pyne’s Microcosm’ (Army, Plate 2) published by W H Pyne and J C Nattes, London, 1802. Associated with Royal Artillery and Napoleonic Wars (1803-1815).
