Sergeant / Ceylon Sepoy Rifle Corps. Colour lithograph after William Hunsley, 1830 (c). Initially raised as the Ceylon Native Infantry in 1801, the unit was also known as the Sepoy Corps until 1807, when it was renamed the 2nd Ceylon Regiment.
