Chevette Remote Control Vehicle (RCV) chassis, 2009 (c). Associated Operation TELIC, Iraq (2003-2011) 2003-2009 and Operation HERRICK, Afghanistan (2002-2014) 2004- . Remote Control Vehicles (RCVs) are used by Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams to search for, examine and render safe IEDs from a distance. The Mini Chevette RCV was designed to conduct IED Disposal (IEDD) operations in confined spaces and has been used on light scale deployments on Op Telic and Op Herrick. Upgrades on the previous version included adding a manipulation arm and wheels and improving onboard cameras, power supply and robustness.
