Description
Embroidered handkerchief, inscribed ‘To My Dear Wife’, 1916-1919. Sent to Dora Evelyn Warwick by her husband Pte Augustus Warwick, 1st Bn Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment), possibly from the Western Front. The couple married in 1916 so the object cannot antedate that. Associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
