Pattern 1856 Enfield Short Rifle, 1869 (c). Manufactured by the London Armoury Company and lock maker James Kerr and Company, London, 1869. Privately purchased for rifle volunteer. Bayonet bar on muzzle. With metal cleaning rod. From the collection of the former Buffs Regimental Museum.
