Hinge-type release switch, No 3, 1942 (c). Designed by Lt Col Stuart Macrae and one of a series of explosive trip switches developed at the military research centre, MD1. Stamped ‘MD.A2’. Associated with the Special Operations Executive (SOE), World War Two (1939-1945).
