Description
Tray, 1916. Silver, made by Mappin and Webb, hallmarked Sheffield, 1900-1901. Oval, with raised concave edge, on four feet, with two handles at either end, an engraved cartouche in centre bearing the inscription, 'PRESENTED TO/ Captain Arthur Hugh Batten Pooll VC/ (..THE ROYAL MUNSTER FUSILIERS)/...in remembrance...VICTORIA CROSS'. Associated with World War One, Western Front (1914-1918).
