Description
A two-handled trophy cup with pedestal foot, sterling silver, made in London by Hester Bateman, dated to 1784. Two reeded loop handles with leaf joins, the cup is engraved with a small crown. Presented by the 1st Battalion Bedfordshire Volunteer Infantry to their Commanding Officer, Captain Thomas Lane Wood on 18 May 1808.
