Coloured aquatint by H Papprill after Lt R B Crawford, Royal Navy. Published by Ackermann and Company, London, 1 Sep 1842. The 49th (Princess Charlotte of Wales’s) (or Hertfordshire) Regiment of Foot on the heights commanding the city, and the 18th (Royal Irish) Regiment of Foot on the hills adjoining and fleet bombarding. Associated with the 1st China War (1839-1842).
