Within a circlet bearing the battle honours: SEETA BULDEE; SERINGAPATAM, the numeral 1. Below all, a scroll bearing the battle honours: MADRAS PIONEERS. Above all, a representation of an elephant, standing upon a tablet bearing the battle honour: ASSAYE.
