The assault of Seringapatam on the 4th May 1799. Coloured aquatint after Alexander Allan DQMG. Published by Anthony Cardon and Schiavonetti, London, February 1802. Vignette of Medal given to the army by the East India Company in the title margin. Associated with the Capture of Seringapatam, fortress capital of Tipu of Mysore, 4 May 1799. 4th Mysore War (1799). The artist, Captain Alexander Allan, was Deputy Quartermaster General to the expedition.
