Press cutting, one page taken from the Daily Mail, 31 Dec 1900.
Cutting relates to the setbacks of British troops in the Boer War and Lord Kitchener's appeal for volunteers.
Relating to Sgt Thomas William Heybourne, 11th (S) Bn, Royal Welsh Fusiliers, who served on the Salonika Front during World War One (1914-1918).
Sgt Heybourne almost certainly served with the Middlesex Yeomanry, but transferred to the 11th (S) Bn of the Welsh Fusiliers, probably in Salonika.
Associated with World War One, Salonika (1914-1918).
