Description
Infantry officer's sword, pattern 1822, 1854. Pipe backed blade, appears to be plain but engraving has possibly tarnished; normal hilt with moulded floral decoration on ferrule and missing guard. Used by Sgt Fitzgerald, Crimean War (1854-1856).
