Aeroplane message streamer, 1914-1918; rectangular white canvas pouch, printed in the back, ‘A.I.D. X 61.’; on top black are button fastenings, on the back of which are two streamers, each in three sections of blue, yellow and red; the streamer was weighted and used to drop messages to the ground; owned by Lt Col R C W Lukin, 9th Hodson’s Horse.
