Description
CW Trench set: Mk II wireless transmitter set, 1918 (c). Contained within a khaki painted wooden box. Lid fastens with tension clip; when opened it is held in place by two rods. Front underside of box opens to allow three sets of four hole sockets to be connected by wires. Control surface has a current dial in centre and below a morse code rocket set in brass restraining mount, inscribed. On right is send and receive switch, an aerial condensor dial and send/ receive switch. Associated with Royal Engineers (Signals). Associated with World War One (1914-1918).
