Description
Walking stick presented to Lt R T Cooper, 16th (Service) Battalion Duke of Cambridge’s Own (Middlesex Regiment), by Lt Col W C MacKendrick, Royal Canadian Engineers, Nov 1917 Made from the Great Door of the Cloth Hall in Ypres; the Cloth Hall and much of the town were destroyed by artillery bombardments and fighting on the Ypres Saliant throughout World War One.
