Description
Leather wallet, 1940 (c); in simulated pigskin; owed by Capt Michael Alfred Raymond Trotobas, leader of the ‘Farmer’ circuit of the Special Operations Executive, 1942-1943 In 1939 he became a regular soldier in the Middlesex Regiment; after Dunkirk he was recruited to the Special Operations Executive’s French section and given a commission in the Manchester Regiment; he was killed in action in occupied France in 1943.
