Bell, brass, taken by members of A and B Companies, the 94th Regiment of Foot from Iwawasasa, Zululand, August 1879 Front bears brass plaque with worn regimental cypher, iron threaded hole in top and iron loop inside for clapper. Inscription on plaque reads: ‘This bell was taken from Iwawasa(?), Zululand by letter ‘A’ Company Capt J Browne, 2nd Lt R G Wolrige Gordon, 2nd Lt J J F Hume and letter ‘B’ Company Capt E S Brook, 2nd Lt F B Campbell, August 1879.’ (Associated with the Zulu War, 1879)
