Description
Light Cavalry Officer’s sword; blade is spear pointed with a slight curve and engraved with a crown over the cypher ‘VRI’, the shoulder bears the maker’s name, Ranken & Co; three bar guard with a plain back piece; grip covered in black fish skin and bound with three silver wires; carried by Col Charles Lyon Sidey, Surma Valley Light Horse and Lumsden’s Horse.
