Sand colour flannel. Upright neckband. Neckband lined with cream cotton on which is printed (by hand) the letters: BEN (presumably short for the owner's name, Bennett) and an indecipherable laundry number. Below on vertical centre seam of yoke is sewn a cream cotton trade label woven in pale blue with the following details: Viyella (Regd)/ Day (within a representation of the sun) and Night (within a representation of a crescent moon) Wear Regd./ Does Not Shrink.
