Pattern 1834, Rifle Regiment Officer’s sword, 27th Punjabis Straight blade of dumbbell section, with engraved decoration, including the royal coat of arms, letters ‘ERI’, the owner’s on monogram and the maker’s name, Guthrie & Valentine; plated steel guard, with usual grip and chequered backpiece; leather strap and acorn; associated with Capt C.R.S. Pitman.
