Obverse: within a raised rim, the following design in relief: an antelope's head caboshed surrounded by a frosted scroll bearing the burnished title, 'Gold Coast Forces Reserve'.
Reverse: in relief, a depiction of an arquebusier facing sinister, firing a musket.
In the distance, sinister, a fortress on a hill.
Below in an exergue to the dexter, the maker's name, 'Phillips' and to the sinister the address, 'Aldershot'.
