Description
Shoulder belt plate, The King's Own Light Infantry Militia (Tower Hamlets), 1850 (c). Gilt metal, rectangular plate bearing: superimposed upon a white metal, multi-rayed, faceted star, a gilt metal circlet bearing the pierced gilt metal title: THE KING'S OWN LIGHT INFANTRY MILITIA upon a green enamelled ground. Below the circlet, a gilt metal bugle horn. The whole surmounted by a gilt metal crown. Gilt metal hook and stud fittings at back. Back lined with buff coloured leather.
