Description
The Ridge and Fort of Jytock. Coloured aquatint by Robert Havell and Son, published by Rodwell and Martin, Bond Street, London, 1 Mar 1820. After an image by James Ballie Fraser, 1815 (c). From the series ‘Views in the Himala Mountains’, possibly No 4. Shows British forces leaving tented camp on ridge to attack Gurkha fort further up. Associated with Siege of Jytock, Gurkha (Nepal) War (1814-1816), 1814-1815.
