Description
Officers’ shoulder belt plate, Grenadier Company Warwickshire Local Militia, 1808-1809. Silver. Die struck with Hallmark for Birmingham, 1808. A burnished rectangular plate with rounded corners, with design of a frosted garter surmounted by a monarchial crown, with an upright flaming grenade mounted within the garter. Reverse bears two hooks at top and two studs at base.
