Description
Officers’ shoulder belt plate, Polden Hill Volunteers, 1803-1814. Copper gilt. Upon a burnished ground, engraved design of a garter enclosing the embellished royal cypher above a monarchial crown. Reverse bears hook fitting at top and two studs at base.
