Gendarmerie. Genie (Garde Imperiale). Shows a gendarme and an engineer of the Imperial Guard. One of twenty coloured lithographs by Antoine Godard after Louis Pierre Rene de Moraine, 1859 (c). Published by Ledot Freres, 168 rue de Rivoli, Paris, 1859 (c). Together the lithographs form one continuous strip. The set is entitled ‘Garde Imperiale et l’Armee Francaise’ and illustrates the uniform of 28 figures.
