Photograph of the Officers of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards with Lt General Sir Peter Strickland DSO, probably taken at Kasr-El-Nil barracks in Cairo, 5th February 1931. Sir Peter was the General Officer Commanding the British Troops in Egypt from 1927 until 1931. They pose on the steps to a large building wearing service dress with Sam Browne belts and forage caps. Sir Peter can be seen in the centre of the image, second row from the front, fourth from the right. Image probably taken by Garrison Photographer S Sarkis.
