Photograph showing the rehearsal for the Guard of honour formed by 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards (Kings Company) and the Corps of Drums at Victoria Barracks, Windsor, 1947. The wedding of Colonel H.R.H the Princess Elizabeth took place at Westminster Abbey on November 20th 1947. The band can be seen playing drums and flutes whilst other members of the battalion march past wearing service dress and forage caps with their rifles with bayonets attached resting on their left shoulders. From a photograph album containing 18 images showing the 1st Battalion, Grenadier Guards, in London, Haifa and Tripoli, 1947-1949.
