Iraqi helmet found by Maj Rodney (Rod) Eldridge in a recently evacuated trench in Al Amarah, Iraq, during Op Telic 1, 2003; he picked it up as a memento to help him connect and explain his experiences to his young son. Associated with mental health nurse Maj Rodney Eldridge QARANC (Queen Alexandra Royal Army Nursing Corps), who served in Northern Ireland, the Balkans, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan.
