Other ranks coatee of Cpl Dennis Smalley, 10th (The North Lincoln) Regiment, 1846 (c) Red coatee with yellow regimental facings to collar and cuffs and shoulder boards, white worsted lace strips to front decreasing in width to waist, white worsted corporal’s rank stripes on yellow ground to lower right sleeve, upright collar trimmed with white worsted lace and double white worsted central stripe, shoulder boards with white worsted edging and fixed white worsted fringe attached with single pewter regimental button, four pewter regimental buttons to each cuff and 10 pewter regimental buttons to front with maker’s mark for Nutting London, one button has become detached, stitching is very loose on all other buttons. Tails trimmed with white worsted lace and 10 pewter regimental buttons to back. White wool half-lining to inside of tails with considerable pest damage.
